Customer Service Team Leader - Full time, Dunedin

Allied Press Limited employs over 1000 staff across our 15 sites in the South Island.  We operate across multiple media platforms (print, on-line, digital and television) delivering news, information and entertainment through our various regional and city publications, including our Newspaper Print & Publishing Operations based in Dunedin.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced customer service team leader to join our Team, ensuring the delivery of professional and personalised service to our many customers. You will be responsible for leading a team that provides a high quality service, responding to enquires and ensuring that systems and processes support and enable best practice administrative and account management practices.   Working closely with other members of distribution, marketing, advertising sales and management, you will be able to work across a variety of company functions and systems such as circulation, advertising, and general office duties.

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:

  • At least five years previous work experience in a customer service/office or accounts administration role
  • Team leadership experience
  • Previous experience in managing work flows across business functions and training team members
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to pick-up new systems quickly
  • Value efficiency, with eye for continuous improvement

You must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and be able to look critically at existing processes, particularly those that involve service delivery. You will be a strong communicator, both oral and written, with a high level of attention to detail and an ability to act calm under pressure is essential.
