Senior Reporter - Wānaka (FT Permanent)

About the role:

Are you a senior reporter with a passion for news and a desire to tell compelling stories? Allied Press Limited is seeking a capable and confident senior reporter to join our Wānaka team.  This full-time position will be based in our Wānaka office, where you will work with a junior reporter, write articles and capture photos and videos for odt.co.nz, our weekly print publication, Wānaka Sun, and the Otago Daily Times newspaper.

You should be an experienced reporter with a strong interest in news and storytelling across both online and print platforms. You should be enthusiastic about breaking news, covering community events, and able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure to deliver engaging and timely content.

A valid driver’s licence is required for this role.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong journalism skills, including photography and videography capabilities.
